Terms of Service

Last updated: August 18, 2026

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Shot.mov (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the Shot.mov website and services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Shot.mov is an AI generation service: you enter a text prompt, the Service produces a set of images, and you can turn a selected image into a short video. Generated media is saved to your personal gallery. Generation is performed with the help of our AI infrastructure partners.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old — or the higher minimum age of digital consent that applies where you live — to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Your Account

You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. Notify us at support@shot.mov if you believe your account has been used without your permission. One account per person; accounts are not transferable.

5. Credits, Quotas, and Subscriptions

Every account receives a weekly generation allowance. Each image or video you generate consumes part of that allowance; the cost depends on the format and length of the output.

  • Allowances reset on a weekly cycle. Unused allowance does not carry over to the next week.
  • Paid plans with larger allowances will be offered when available. Prices, accepted payment methods, and billing terms are shown at the point of purchase.
  • Generation allowance that has been consumed by a completed generation is not refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law. If a generation fails or is refused by our safety systems, you are not charged for it.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to create or attempt to create:

  • content that is illegal where you live or where we operate;
  • child sexual abuse material or any sexual content involving minors — we report such attempts to the relevant authorities;
  • content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property or deceptively impersonates a real person or organization;

You also agree not to:

  • attempt to bypass, probe, or disable safety filters, moderation, or rate limits;
  • access the Service by automated means outside the interfaces we provide, or resell, sublicense, or offer the Service’s generation capability as an API to others;
  • interfere with the operation or security of the Service.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of the prompts you write and any images you upload, and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, you own the outputs generated for you. You are responsible for how you use your outputs.

So that the Service can function, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your prompts, uploads, and generated media — solely to operate, provide, and improve the reliability of the Service. This license ends when the content is deleted from our systems.

8. AI-Generated Content

Outputs are produced by machine-learning models. They may be inaccurate, unexpected, or offensive, and may resemble outputs generated for other users from similar prompts. Outputs are not reviewed by humans before delivery, do not represent our views, and are used at your own risk. Verify outputs before relying on them for anything important.

9. Moderation and Safety

Prompts and outputs pass through automated safety systems and may be refused. Refused generations are not charged against your allowance. We may remove content or restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate Section 6, and we may do so without prior notice where the violation is serious.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular generation will succeed or meet your expectations.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose and USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections 7, 8, 10, and 11 survive termination.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Shot.mov operator is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence applies.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice — for example on the website or by email — before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. Questions? Contact support@shot.mov.
