Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Shot.mov (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the Shot.mov website and services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Shot.mov is an AI generation service: you enter a text prompt, the Service produces a set of images, and you can turn a selected image into a short video. Depending on the image features available to your account, a generated still may appear as a temporary candidate. A candidate labeled Temporary is saved to your personal gallery only when you explicitly keep it by liking it, marking it as Legend, pinning it, downloading it, moving it to a folder, or using it to make a video. Generated images not labeled Temporary, videos, and uploads are saved as part of their creation or upload flow. Generation is performed with the help of our AI infrastructure partners.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. Notify us at support@shot.mov if you believe your account has been used without your permission. One account per person; accounts are not transferable.

When we offer referrals, a referral reward is extra plan time on a paid purchase, never cash, credits or commission. Each active member then has a personal invitation link, and a new account created through it is attributed to that member once, for life. When that account's first paid plan settles, that plan gains 7 days (30 days on a 365-day plan). The inviting member earns one bonus week per such referral, up to 12 a year, which adds the same to their next paid plan purchase, one per purchase; bonus weeks do not expire. Nothing is granted without a settled purchase. A refund withdraws the time that purchase carried or earned, never time already used, and a later purchase or a repeated notice never grants again. Rewards cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash. We may pause a member's link or withdraw their referral rewards for abuse; promises already made to other members stand.

When we offer a signup pass, its page lists what it gives and for how long. A pass is taken once per account and per sign-in identity, through a link while creating an account or with a single-use code in Settings; it cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, and a pass may end or change for new signups at any time. We may suspend or revoke a pass's benefits to protect the service, and extend them to make up for an interruption.

Free accounts receive a one-time trial allowance. Paid plans receive a weekly generation allowance that resets every week; unused allowance does not carry over. Each image or video you generate consumes part of your current allowance; the cost depends on the format and length of the output.

Each plan also includes a storage limit for the shots you keep, shown on the pricing page; temporary candidates do not count toward it. When your kept shots fill it, creating and keeping new shots pauses until you delete shots or change plans, and downloading a temporary candidate gives you the file without keeping it. We never delete kept shots to make room.

• Prices, accepted payment methods, and billing terms for paid plans are shown at the point of purchase.
• If a generation is refused before compute starts — including by our safety systems — you are not charged for it. Once compute has started, cancelling or a prompt-based safety refusal does not return the allowance for work already performed. If our output review blocks generated media, we automatically retry up to two times without consuming additional allowance. If those retries do not produce a deliverable result, the original allowance is returned in full. A separately bundled follow-on step that never starts is not charged. If a generation fails for reasons on our side, the allowance is returned in full.
• Generation allowance pays for the completed compute and is consumed whether or not you keep a resulting candidate. Automatic expiry of a temporary candidate does not return allowance. Explicitly deleting a finished image you never kept returns a small portion of its cost. Liking, marking it as Legend, pinning, downloading, moving to a folder, or turning an image into video permanently marks it as kept; undoing a Like or Pin does not reopen this refund. Allowance consumed by a completed generation is otherwise not refundable, except where required by applicable law.

New Dedicated Queue sales have ended. Existing purchases and valid invoices issued before sales ended retain their original terms; they are not converted to Ultra Studio. A purchased Dedicated Queue does not require a generation plan. Each USD 999 priority slot covers either the image model or the video model and runs one generation job at a time for 30 days after activation. Two matching purchased slots can run two matching jobs concurrently. Additional matching jobs wait for one of your slots and do not fall back to shared capacity.

• While a matching Dedicated Queue is active, generations routed through it do not consume plan or trial allowance. The product is still subject to these Terms, technical limits, safety systems, and the available model interfaces; it is not an API resale right.
• Existing checkout quotes have a time limit and do not reserve physical capacity. After payment is confirmed, we prepare and verify the selected capacity; the 30-day term starts only when that capacity is activated. If we cannot fulfill a paid order, it enters the refund process. A Dedicated Queue receives our highest scheduling priority once active, but it does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular completion time, or that every generation will succeed.
• Creating or viewing 18+ content requires successful 18+ verification.

You agree not to use the Service to create or attempt to create:

• content that is illegal where you live or where we operate;
• child sexual abuse material or any sexual content involving minors — we report such attempts to the relevant authorities;
• content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property or deceptively impersonates a real person or organization;

You also agree not to:

• attempt to bypass, probe, or disable safety filters, moderation, or rate limits;
• access the Service by automated means outside the interfaces we provide, or resell, sublicense, or offer the Service’s generation capability as an API to others;
• interfere with the operation or security of the Service.

You retain ownership of the prompts you write and any images you upload, and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, you own the outputs generated for you. You are responsible for how you use your outputs.

So that the Service can function, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your prompts, uploads, and generated media — solely to operate, provide, and improve the reliability of the Service. This license ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except for limited records retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

If Community publishing becomes available and you choose to publish a shot, you also grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and deliver that shot, its prompt, and your public handle for as long as it remains published. This public-display license ends when you unpublish or delete the shot. It does not transfer your ownership, recall copies already made by other people, or erase reporting and moderation records that we are permitted to retain.

If member share links become available and you create one for a shot, you also grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to deliver that shot to anyone who opens the link for as long as the link is active. This share-delivery license ends when you revoke the link or delete the shot. It does not transfer your ownership, recall copies already downloaded by other people, or erase the link, reporting, and moderation records that we are permitted to retain.

Official showcase posts must follow the Feed Rules, which exclude all 18+ content. We may remove a showcase post at any time. The official feed does not change the rights you have in your own outputs under Section 7.

Outputs are produced by machine-learning models. They may be inaccurate, unexpected, or offensive, and may resemble outputs generated for other users from similar prompts. Outputs are not reviewed by humans before delivery, do not represent our views, and are used at your own risk. Verify outputs before relying on them for anything important.

Prompts and outputs pass through automated safety systems and may be refused. A refusal before compute starts is not charged; a refusal of generated output after compute has started is charged as explained in Section 5. We may remove content or restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate Section 6, and we may do so without prior notice where the violation is serious.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular generation will succeed or meet your expectations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose and USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Shot.mov operator is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence applies.

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice — for example on the website or by email — before it takes effect.
